How to measure garments

Lay garment flat and measure:

  1. Shoulder to hem (Body length): Measure from the highest point of the shoulder to the hem (bottom of the garment).

  2. Bust/Chest: Measure across the widest part of the chest area (Usually from one under arm seam to the other).

  3. Hem: Measure across the hemline from one side to the other (the bottom of the garment).

  4. Neck to shoulder seam: Measure from neck opening to top of sleeve seam.

  5. Sleeve length: Measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the sleeve, running along the top of the sleeve.

  6. Hips: Measure the widest part of the hip area, from one side to the other.

  7. Inseam: Measure from the top of the crotch seam to the to the end of the pants (inside leg seam).

How to take body measurements

  1. Shoulder to hem (Body length): Measure from your high side neck vertical to middle of your thumb or from your high side neck to the desired length of the garment.

  2. Bust/Chest: Exhale then measure under your arms around the fullest part of your chest.

  3. Hem: Measure around the area of the body the hemline will sit (this can be determined by comparing the garment body length to your body length measurement)

  4. Neck to shoulder seam: Measure from your high neck side to your shoulder.

  5. Sleeve length: Measure from the top of your shoulder to your wrist bone.

  6. Hips: With feet standing slightly apart measure around the fullest part of your hips.

  7. Inseam: Measure from your crotch to the end of your ankle.
